CDK GLOBAL SYSTEM DISRUPTIONS

OpenRoad Customer FAQ

Thank you for your patience while CDK Global works to return its services to full capacity for tens of thousands of dealerships across North America. We are open for business, and all our departments are available to help you. Here are OpenRoad Customer FAQs for your convenience.

Q. Is your dealership open?
Yes. All our dealerships are fully open for sales, service and parts. Please make an appointment at your preferred OpenRoad location. We are happy to assist.

Q. Can I still buy a car?
Yes, you can. There may be some minor delays processing paperwork, but our dedicated product advisors and sales team are ready to ensure a smooth buying experience for you.

Q. May I pick up my new car at the original vehicle delivery time?
Unless we notify you, please expect to pick up your new vehicle, as scheduled. We welcome you to reconfirm your delivery appointment with your OpenRoad Product Advisor or Delivery Specialist just to make sure.

Q. Can I bring my car in for service?
Yes, you can. We are open for service and maintenance. Our online service booking is fully available. We strongly recommend making an appointment ahead of time with your OpenRoad Service Advisor. Guests with existing service appointments may experience longer than usual wait times due to the CDK system disruptions. We thank you for your patience.

Q. Is your Parts department available for me to buy a replacement vehicle
part?
Yes. Our Parts department is happy to help. We recommend contacting your OpenRoad Parts Advisor to check availability of the part that you’re looking for.

Q. What is CDK, and what’s happening?
CDK Global has announced progress in restoring its service to us. However, all dealers will not be restored before June 30, 2024. We are in daily contact with CDK for their latest news. Our back-up processes are in place to meet all your vehicle needs in the meantime.

CDK Global provides cloud-based software for dealerships across Canada and the US to manage vehicle sales, financing, insuring, repairs and maintenance. On June 18, 2024, CDK reported a cyber incident that affected the estimated 15,000 dealerships it serves across North America. An additional incident happened on the evening of June 19, 2024, prompting CDK to proactively take its platforms offline while they work to reinstate their services to us.

Q. Why is it affecting OpenRoad dealership operations, and how does this
affect me?
Certain OpenRoad dealer locations rely on CDK software to operate customer transactions. With current CDK system disruptions, OpenRoad locations are fully transacting, but some locations may be operating with delays. Guests may experience longer than usual processing times during this temporary disruption. While CDK works to return its services to full capacity, our teams at OpenRoad are flexible to help you with your vehicle sales and service needs.

Q. Is my personal data safe if I buy a car or service with OpenRoad, or if I
dealt w
ith you in the past?
Yes. There is currently no indication of customer data breaches due to the CDK system disruptions. Our Data Security team at OpenRoad is closely monitoring the CDK situation. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our customers, and that includes the integrity of customer data and privacy.
